A gorgeously hand-crafted bag, designed with free-flowing lines in the formation of the bag, with a part of its silhouette at the center and corner covered with the striking beauty of Peacock feathers. The frame and lines of the bag has been accented with Gold Plated Sterling Silver, with a free-form fresh water Pearl forming the pretty lock of the piece. The handle of the bag has been crafted with two Japanese lacquered Hair Pins which are held on to the bag with red painted palm sticks, joined with ‘flaming fire’ in Gold Plated Sterling Silver. One side of the bottom of the bag has been decorated in Gold leaf and the bag stands on four carved Red Lacquer beads in a ‘pumpkin’ shape and Tsavorites in Black Rhodium, bringing in a beautiful contrast to the design. With a magnetic closure and lined with green fabric inside and ample space, it remains as graceful, as it is practical. The bag comes with an antique Japanese Comb inside with a beautiful textile pouch.
The peacock is a possessor of some of the most admired human characteristics and is a symbol of integrity and the beauty we can achieve when we endeavor to show our true colors. In history, myth, legend and lore, the peacock symbolism carries portents of: Nobility, Holiness, Guidance, Protection and Watchfulness.
This bag was painstakingly designed and finished by 9 craftsmen and designers involved at various stages, taking 2 months to complete.
