Rudraksha is a seed that is used as a prayer bead in Hinduism. The seeds are associated with the Hindu Lord Shiva and are commonly worn for protection and for chanting mantras such as Om Namah Shivaya. The seeds are primarily sourced from India, Indonesia and Nepal for jewellery and malas; they are valued similarly to semi-precious stones. Various meanings and interpretations are attributed to the beads with different numbers of segments or the locules of seed and rare or unique beads are highly prized and valuable.
Arizona Turquoise mines are world famous for their beautiful true blue Turquoise. Turquoise is Arizona's most important gem material. And is most widely known of Arizona's gemstones. Most collectors consider American Turquoise to be the finest in the world and Arizona to be the state that the best blue Turquoise comes from. Arizona mines do produce green and aqua blue / green Turquoise, but are more famous for the blue Turquoise that seems to be prominent in these mines.
Basra Pearl is a highly precious variety of the natural pearl gemstone originated from the Basra region of Persian Gulf (Iraq). These pearls have featured in recorded history as far back in time as 300 BC, and finding Basra Pearls in the 21st century is close to impossible, because its not available in the Arabian Sea and has to be collected from various sources from all over the world and then matched to design a piece.
