| A Chinese designed rosewood table from Circa 1880-1920 (Qing dynasty), raised on cabriole legs with scrolled feet. Tables like these were used to place potted plants décor or beautiful small lamps, ideally placed in the corner of rooms. Rosewood Furniture and décor is one of east Asia’s craftsmanship wonder which is a result of Chinese masters from various centuries carving and crafting for the ancient nobles, royal courts and wealthy aristocratic households of Asia. Rosewood is an extremely valuable and rare wood, prized by sculptors, collectors and artists for the quality of its timber, craftsmanship and nostalgic cultural value across Asia, specially China. The tree is slow-growing, with a lifespan of several hundred years, and the rise in demand has brought numerous species of rosewood near commercial extinction. The wood is a beautiful richly hued timber, often brownish with darker veining but found in many different hues.
