This antique silk Baldachin which forms the center piece of this design was woven two centuries ago in Tibet and would have once graced an Abbot’s throne room in a monastery in the mystical Himalayan kingdom.
The embroidered patterns are as vivid and bright as the day they were created thanks to ancient dying techniques which only used natural colors.
Lotus Arts de Vivre restored and treated the silk to increase its durability before it was cut and fixed to a silver-plated wood frame and accented with rose-cut diamonds in silver gold plate. The handles are made with Thai silk cords to accentuate the design.
Limited to 15 bags as only those many can be cut from the original material.
