The Lavender Jade was sourced from Myanmar, and carved in China. It’s a variety of Jadeite and considered the ultimate "Dream Stone," revered in ancient cultures, as well as today, to access the spiritual world, gain insight into ritualistic knowledge, encourage creativity, and dream-solve. It is cherished as a protective talisman, assuring long life and a peaceful death, and is considered a powerful healing stone. Jade is featured prominently in ancient Asian art, and was used to create many utilitarian and ceremonial objects and was considered the "Imperial Gem". Lavender Jade has had a special significance, comparable with that of Gold and Diamonds in the West.

Cinnabar or Dragon Blood refers to the deep red color of lacquer which is product made from the sap of the Lac tree and then colored with Cinnabar a very expensive mineral oxide. It is extraordinarily heat and water resistant has good flexibility and is not available in the West. Its crafted upon by adding layers over layers of red natural lacquer on top of each other, each layer had to be dried and polished and it would take up to one hundred layers before the layers were thick enough for carving. Each layer would take 1-3 days and special ratios of oil and lacquer had to be kept to make sure that the lacquer could be still carved after 4-7 months of layering. It is then hand carved with master carvers, making them stunning pieces, often used in art installations and Jewelry.
