Teak is the common name for the tropical hardwood tree species Tectona grandis and its wood products, native to South and Southeast Asia and continues to be rare to find. The teak, sourced carefully from the Java Islands of Indonesia contains unique curvy grain, considered the ‘Grade A’ of the teak woods. Lotus Arts de Vivre uses various free-formations of the teak branches, teak root or drift wood to further hand-carve and create its designs.
After sourcing the wood, this piece took 1.5 months to complete with over 6 craftsmen and designers involved at various stages.
Product Care: Use metal polishing gloves with silver polish solution to clean the metal. Use teak cleaner or simply a cotton cloth to clean the wood.
