Japanese gilded Lotus flowers and leaves, displayed in a gorgeous Chinese polychrome vase set, from the early 19th Century (1900-1920).

The flower décor were likely used on the altars of Buddhist temples in Japan, representing the full cycle of life. They have a rich matte gold patina, bringing in a touch of heritage to the already stunning array of stems, flowers and leaves. The vase being a Chinese Polychrome Enamel Porcelain Vase of the 19th Century is an exquisite piece of work.

As a part of the Ralf Ohletz Count von Plettenberg Collection, this is one of the pieces that ‘joined’ hands with Lotus Arts de Vivre to be re-homed amongst hundreds of his magnificent treasures.
